aftercare - ombré brows

...TRUST THE PROCESS...

Congratulations! You have freshly tattooed eyebrows. Care for your eyebrows is extremely important to ensure they heal properly.

  • Immediately after the procedure, swelling & redness are common side effects and will subside in a few hours.

  • As soon as you get home, wash your brows with mild soap to tap dry. This will avoid lymph build up.

  • Day 1-4: Brows will appear extremely dark. This is not the result. They MAY fade by 20-30% in the first two weeks.

  • Day 3-14: Peeling may occur (or may not occur for mature/collagen less skin), brows will look uneven, patchy and start flaking. Do not pull out the scabs. Do not panic, this is normal stage of healing.

  • Week 2-6: The body has to process the pigment. The skin underneath takes time to heal. Waiting is the only way.

  • Week 6: Final color will be apparent and eyebrows should be fully healed.

  • Color loss: As the procedure area heals, the color will lighten and sometimes seem to disappear in places. This can be addressed during the first 6 week touch up appointment. The procedure area has to heal completely before we can address any concerns. Healing takes about 6 weeks.

  • Avoid for Two Weeks on the tattooed area:

    • Do Not Pick, peel, or scratch as this could cause scarring or removal of colour.

    • Do Not Touch the procedure area.

    • Do Not Be alarmed if it appears that most of the colour is flaking off – This is normal healing.

    • Do Not Use Makeup.

    • Do Not Use any Skin peels, Retin-A, Glycol Acids, or Neosporin during or after healing.

    • Do Not Use harsh Soaps or Creams

    • Do Not Expose area to sun or tanning beds.

    • Do Not Use Swimming pools, Saunas, Jacuzzi, Hot Tubs, Steam Showers, Long Baths.

    • Do Not Go for Facials or Massages.

    • Do Not Perform activities that cause excessive sweating like Gym, Cycling, Running etc.

    • Do Not Get Fillers/Botox.

    • Do Not Perform any activities that may cause an infection.

Need a touch up months later: A touch up may be needed 6 months to 1 year depending on your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. We recommend yearly touchup to keep your brows looking fresh and beautiful!
